Search Begins for Golden Tigers Venue

One of the things that will take the California Golden Tigers to the next level will be a brand-new place to play. The ABA is an iconic brand but what is holding them back are venues to call their own. Currently junior colleges, major colleges and high school gyms graciously loan their floors to ABA teams. As kind as these schools and Parks and recreations are to the ABA, If the ABA had their own venue, it would take every team to the next level and would allow teams to begin to pay players. The Golden Tigers hope to be the first team in California to open such an arena.

ABA CEO Joe Newman is going to try to open 175 such venues across the country and the search in Oakland began this week as a local broker as been assigned the case. This is exciting news and will fulfill a lifelong dream of ownership for the Golden Tigers owner. As a board member of the leagues corporation, ASRG, Ivan Davis would own a piece of all venues built by ASRG. However, there is nothing like having your own and having it built in the city you grew up loving for life.
